Kamira is an Aboriginal word for "of the wind".
In 2017, Kamira commissioned local Aboriginal artist, Gary Purchase, to create
a logo and symbols that represents the spirit of Kamira.
The large “U” shapes are an Aboriginal symbol for women.
The smaller “U” shapes represent children.
Circles commonly represent meeting places, shelters, or gatherings.
The long stem represents a pathway in.
Soft and delicate, this tail feather is from
one of Australia's most unique birds.
This Kookaburra is a regular attendee in Kamira's expansive gardens.

This symbol uses the women’s meeting place symbol as the sun with the eagle soaring.
